Football is one of the most emerging sports in North America. The NWSL is one of the best women’s leagues in the world. The MLS now enjoys enormous media attention through sensational transfers such as that from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to LA Galaxy.

50 college teams have an average of 1,000 fans at their home games. Brigham Young University leads the ranking with 3,000 fans per game.
NWSL & MLS Draft
Every year almost 40 women make the transition into the NWSL. On the men’s side, there are almost 100 who make the leap into professional sports.
Famous college players
Vedad Ibisevic played for the University of Pittsburgh & Neven Subotic for the University of South Florida. Each player of the US women’s national team played college soccer for at least one year.

How is the level?
Basically, one can generally say that European players are better trained in technique and tactics than American players. However, American footballers are very athletic and advocate a game that is focused on physical condition.
Women's Soccer
The level of performance in women’s football ranges from the Landesliga to the Bundesliga. The best college teams can even be equated with German Bundesliga clubs.

What does a year look like?
“When I study in the USA, I can no longer see my friends and parents.” We understand these concerns, of course, but you have 4 months a year to visit your parents & friends.

AUG - DEC
Season
The fall semester begins in early August. The preparation for the season takes place in the first 2-3 weeks. After that, depending on the performance, season will be played until mid-December.
DEC - JAN
Break
Christmas holidays are from mid-December to mid-January. It is therefore possible to come home and spend cozy days with family and friends.
JAN - MAY
OFF Season
The spring semester starts in mid-January and is also known as off-season in college football. The entire spring serves as preparation for the autumn season.
MAY - AUG
Break
The summer holidays at most universities start in early May and last until early August. So you have 3 months off and therefore have enough time to visit home.
